I was born and raised in the Lansing area
and have lived in Michigan my whole life.
Graduated from Olivet College with a Bachelors Degree in
Psychology in 1981.
Worked at Olivet College for twelve years as Director of
Admissions and Interim Vice President.
During my employment at Olivet College, I completed one
semester of graduate work at Western Michigan University.
Firefighter with the City of Marshall for four years.
In 1992, I became a volunteer with the Calhoun County
Sheriff's Office, Emergency Services. I have served 16 years
as a volunteer with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
Worked at Battle Creek Radio (4 station group) for eleven
years as General Sales Manager and Interim General Manager.
Hired full-time in January 2008 by the Calhoun County
Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management. Unanimous Calhoun
County Board approval in May 2008 to the position of
Director of Emergency Management.
I currently reside in the City of Springfield, in Calhoun
County.
