Mary Stikeleather
Mary has been
the Emergency
Management
Director for
Lapeer County
since 1999.
She received her
Professional
Emergency
Manager
certification in
2001.
Mary has served
on committees
ranging from
child safety
seat
installations to
emergency
food/sheltering
committees.
Currently, most
of her time is
spent being a
member of the
3rd District
Homeland
Security
Regionalization
Committee. Some
of the
accomplishments
she is most
proud of
include:
receiving the
Storm Ready
designation, the
creation of an
annual Family
Preparedness
Day,
dissemination of
100+ NOAA radios
to daycare
centers,
government
buildings and
special need
facilities;
creation of a
unified
identification
badge for all
first responders
and preparedness
brochures in two
different
languages.
On a personal
note, one of
things she is
most proud of is
her 12 year old
son Douglas! |
