Pamela Boody - MEMA Secretary

Pamela has been employed with Montcalm County since 2004. Along with her employment with Montcalm County she has been employed for 8 years with Oakfield Township in Kent County as a Fire Fighter and Medical First Responder. Pamela is an instructor with the Community Emergency Response Team program. She has served as a Victim Support Team member for the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department since 2000.
Pamela currently serves as the Homeland Security Coordinator for Montcalm County and one the Regional Coordinators for Region 6.  She has received her Professional Emergency Manager certification in January 2007. Pamela holds leadership roles on Montcalm County’s Emergency Management Advisory Council, Citizen Corps Council, Local Emergency Planning Committee, Local Planning Team, and County’s Department of Public Work’s Director’s meeting.

Pamela has been a MEMA member since 1999 and has served as Secretary since 2007. She has been the recipient of the 2002 MEMA Volunteer of the Year for populations greater than 60,000 and the 2009 Distinguished Service Award.
Pamela is highly involved with Region 6 and serves on the Region 6 Bio Defense Planning Coalition and Executive Board; a member of the Region 6 Planning Board representing Citizen Corps; Chair of the Region 6 Citizen Corps sub committee as well as secretary of Region 6 sub committees for Planning and Training, and Vice Chair of the Region 6 Tech Rescue committee.
Pamela serves on the state level as well. She is Vice Chair of the State Citizen Corps Focus Group Committee and is the supervisor for Region 5 and 6 for Michigan Fire Corps.
