Jenifier worked nearly a decade in customer service as she finished High School andattended college. Jenifier graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with Bachelors in Human Resource Management.

In 2006 Jenifier was hired as the Volunteer Program Coordinator for The Salvation Army - Genesee County Command. There she worked to promote volunteerism and build a volunteer program that extended beyond the Christmas fundraising season. Jenifier became very involved with the Disaster Services Canteen in Genesee County where she found her love in emergency planning and disaster response.

In 2008 Jenifier became Assistant Manager for Genesee County Emergency ManagementHomeland Security. By 2010 Jenifier received her P.E.M. and completed a number of Incident Command and FEMA related courses. After the restructuring of Genesee County Emergency Management, Jenifier was promoted as the Emergency Management Manager under the Office of Genesee County Sheriff in October of 2010. Some of the committees that Jenifier coordinates include the Genesee County LEPC, LPT, and the Genesee County Exercise Planning Team. Jenifier is also an active member of the Region 3 Homeland Security Planning Board.

On a personal note, Jenifier is married to Jeff and they are expecting their first child. Her hobbies include spending time with their family and friends and their two labs.
